Booking and Cancellation Policy

Email Addresses
When you make a reservation at Purnell’s Bistro you will be asked for your email address, so that your booking confirmation can be sent to you. Please check this email, and contact us if any of the details are incorrect. We maintain a strict “No-Spam” policy that means that we do not sell, rent, or otherwise give your e-mail address to a third party.

Credit or debit card
We take credit or debit card details for all bookings on a Saturday evenings and for all reservations of 5 or more guests. There is no exception to this policy. For these bookings we do not charge the card, but ask that you provide us with 24 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or amend the reservation without incurring our cancellation fee of £20 per person.

Once your card details have been added to our system, we are unable to view your card details, and they are not kept on record. We use Stripe to secure the card details of our guests as Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Your Reservation
We ask that you arrive promptly to your reservation, so that we can serve you to the best of our ability. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your reservation we will do our best to accommodate you as swiftly as possible, however, depending on how busy we are in the following time slots you may be required to wait until our kitchen can effectively accommodate your order.

If you are going to be late to your reservation, we advise that you call us on 0121 200 1588 so that we can hold the table for you, or find a more suitable vacant time slot.

If your visit has been below standard
We ask that you give us time to correct our mistakes. We appreciate any feedback directly, and will always endeavour to ensure that our guests leave us happy. If you don’t feel that you can approach a member of staff on the day of your visit, please contact us on or 0121 200 1588 and ask to speak with the Restaurant Manager.
